US – Foreign Policy – Afghanistan – Feingold-McGovern Benchmarks Bill – 28 April 2010
_This_ is the proper response to Afghanistan, in my view. We don’t need a peace movement that just goes on about how wars are bad, as if anyone who would ever consider fighting one must by definition be a bad person. We need people to demand answers about why _this_ war needs to be fought. Read this article – Sen. Feingold and Rep. McGovern are asking all the right questions about our involvement in Afghanistan. The Obama Administration should endeavor to give the answers to those questions, should they exist. In particular, the president himself defends the notion of timetables with respect to Iraq, so why can’t we have them for Afghanistan?
