US – Journalism – Wikileaks – Government Claims of "Blood On Hands" Not Substantiated – 30 July 2010

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/jul/30/us-military-wikileaks-afghanistan-war-logs

Apparently the _potential_ compromise of American troop safety by the release of the war logs (potential = hasn’t happened = possibly may not happen) is enough for the Defense Department to claim that those publishing the logs _have_ blood on their hands (present tense = someone _has_ died or been wounded because of the leaks = there has been any kind of negative outcome at all). That’s crap. The Secretary of Defense should take back this comment immediately.
