US – Politics – “Go Nowhere Generation” Meme a Rationalisation for Economic Policies that Fail The Young (And the Rest of Us) – 18 March 2012

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/11/opinion/sunday/the-go-nowhere-generation.html

The authors of these articles should hang their heads in shame. How dare they make it seem like the way young people are suffering today is their own faults? Why should anyone expect people to move to seek work? Why should we accept that local areas are dying? Why should anyone be surprised that young people should be risk averse given they grew up in decades when incomes were stagnant and taking chances was irresponsible? Why is this article anything more than a rationalisation to protect the a-holes whose policies caused this crisis? Words fail me to describe how contemptible it is to submit this kind of an article to a national newspaper and have millions of suffering people use this to start blaming themselves for how everyone else failed them!
