Robert Reich criticises Bill Clinton. Film at 11. 🙂
Seriously, though…this is worth its weight in gold: “The Affordable Care Act was meant to hold insurers to a higher standards. So it stands to reason that some insurers will have to cancel their lousy sub-standard policies. But spineless Democrats (including my old boss Bill Clinton) are caving in to the Republican-fueled outrage that the President ‘misled’ Americans into thinking they could keep their old lousy policies — and are now urging the White House to forget the new standards and let people keep what they had before.”
The “including my old boss Bill Clinton” is enough to convince me that I’ve been too hard on Robert Reich. If he were, as I feared, someone trying to sound convincingly liberal while that could cause Obama some problems, but ultimately a Clinton Third Way advocate at heart, then he wouldn’t have done this.
Good for Robert Reich. Hope the duplicitous nature of the Clintons encourages more to go public with telling it like it is.
